O-24-08 Ord Amending Zoning Map R-4 single Family Residence (Lemont Township)ORDINANCE NO ~ ~ ~~'' AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONY FROM COOK COUNTY R-4 SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO VILLAGE OF LEMONY INT-INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT (Lemont Township) ADOPTED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONY THIS 14TH DAY OF APRIL, 2008 PUBLISHED IN PAMPHLET FORM BY AUTHORITY OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONY, COOK, WILL AND DUPAGE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, THIS 14TH DAY OF APRIL, 2008 ORDINANCE NO ,~~?~'1 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONY FROM COOK COUNTY R-4 SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO VILLAGE OF LEMONY INT-INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT (Lemont Township) WHEREAS, the Lemont Township, hereinafter referred to as the "Petitioner", is the owner of certain land generally located north of 127th Street and west of Timberline Drive in Lemont, Illinois, and legally described in Exhibit "A", and depicted in Exhibit "B"; and, WHEREAS, the Lemont Township Board of Trustees has passed an ordinance authorizing execution and submission of a petition to the Village of Lemont requesting annexation of certain open space property to the Village of Lemont; and, WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont, Counties of Cook, Dupage, and Will, State of Illinois, have determined it in the best interest of the Village to rezone said property to Village of Lemont INT-Institutional District per §XVIII.K.l and §XVIII.K.2 of the Lemont Zoning Ordinance # 0-25-99, as amended, for civic purposes; and, WHEREAS, the President and Village Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont, did heretofore commence and conduct a public hearing as required by §XVIII.K.1 of the Lemont Zoning Ordinance, 0-25-99, as amended, in conjunction with a petition for annexation, on April 14, 2008; and, WHEREAS, a notice of the aforesaid public hearing was made in the manner provided by law and was published in the Daily Southtown, a newspaper of general circulation within the Village; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont have determined that the best interest of the Village will be served by approving the Zoning Map Amendment described herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont, Counties of Cook, Dupage, and Will, State of Illinois, as follows: Section 1 Zoning Map Amendment. That the subject property described above is hereby rezoned from its current Cook County R-4 Single-Family Residence District to Village of Lemont INT Institutional District. The zoning map of the Village of Lemont is hereby amended in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance. Section 2 Effective date. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law. 2 Section. 3 Conflict. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith shall be and the same are hereby repealed.
