ORDINANCE NO. g 11-3 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LEMONT MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 9.48 ENTITLED "CURFEW FOR MINORS" BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, IN THE COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL AND DUPAGE, STATE OF ILLINOIS, that the Lemont Municipal Code, Chapter 9.48 entitled "Curfew for Minors" be amended as follows: 9.48.010 CURFEW HOURS FOR PERSONS FIFTEEN AND UNDER. It is unlawful for any person fifteen or under to be or remain upon any street or alley or other public place in the Village between ten p.m. and six a.m. seven days a week unless such person is accompanied by a parent or guardian, or other person having custody of such minor, or unless in the performance of duty directed by such parent, guardian or other person, or unless such person is in lawful employment making it necessary to be in such places between ten p.m. and six a.m. 9.48.011 CURFEW HOURS FOR PERSONS SIXTEEN AND SEVENTEEN. It is unlawful for any person sixteen and seventeen years of age to be or remain upon any street or alley or other public place in the Village between ten p.m. and six a.m. Sunday through Thursday and between eleven - thirty p.m. and six a.m. Friday and Saturday unless such person is accompanied by a parent or guardian, or other person having custody of such minor, or unless in the performance of duty directed by such parent, guardian or other person, or unless such person is in lawful employment making it necessary to be in such places between ten p.m. and six a.m. 9.48.050 VIOLATION — PENALTY. Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this chapter shall be fined not less than twenty -five dollars nor more than $100.00 and community service. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith shall be and the same are hereby repealed. The Village Clerk of the Village of Lemont shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published in pamphlet form.
