AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT,
COOK, DuPAGE, AND WILL COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, A 35 ACRE
PARCEL GENERALLY LOCATED SOUTH OF THE INTERSECTION OF
TIMBERLINE DRIVE AND 127TH STREET
(Lemont - Bromberek Combined School District No. 113)
WHEREAS, a written petition, signed by the legal owner of
record of all land within the territory hereinafter described, has
been filed with the Village Clerk of the Village of Lemont, Cook,
DuPage, and Will Counties, Illinois, requesting that said territory
be annexed to the Village of Lemont; and
and
WHEREAS, there are no electors residing within said territory;
WHEREAS, said territory is not within the corporate limits of
any municipality, but is contiguous to the Village of Lemont; and
WHEREAS, legal notices regarding the intention of the Village
to annex said territory have been sent to all public bodies
required to receive such notice by State Statute; and
WHEREAS, copies of such notices required to be recorded, if
any, have been recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of
Cook County; and
WHEREAS, the legal owners of record of said territories and
the Village of Lemont have entered into a valid and binding
annexation agreement relating to such territory; and
WHEREAS, all petitions, documents and other necessary legal
requirements are in full compliance with the terms of said
Annexation Agreement and with the statutes of the State of
Illinois, specifically Chapter 24, Paragraph 7 -1 -8, Illinois
Revised Statutes, 1971; and
WHEREAS, it is the best interest of the Village of Lemont that
said territory be annexed thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COOK, DuPAGE, AND WILL COUNTIES,
STATE OF ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1: That the territory described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto being indicated on an accurate map of the annexed
territory,which is attached hereto and made a part of this
ordinance, is hereby annexed to the Village of Lemont, Counties of
Cook, DuPage, and Will, State of Illinois.
SECTION 2: That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to record
with the the Recorder of Deeds and to file with the County Clerk a
certified copy of this Ordinance together with an accurate map of
the territory annexed appended to this Ordinance.
SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in
pamphlet form as provided by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF LEMONY COUNTIES OF COOK DuPAGE, AND WILL,

PETITION FOR ANNEXATION
TO: President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Lemont

The undersigned, as contract purchasers and owners of record
of the property described in Exhibit "A ", attached and made
a part hereof by reference, pursuant to the provisions of 65
ILCS 5/7 -1 -8, respectfully petition the Village of Lemont to
cause the property legally described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto to be annexed to the Village of Lemont. In support
of their petition, the petitioners respectfully represent,
under oath, to the Village of Lemont, as follows:
1) That the petitioners are the contract purchasers and
owners of record of the property described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto (hereunder referred to as the "subject
property ").
2) That no electors reside upon the subject property.
3) That no part of the subject property is within the
corporate limits of the Village of Lemont or any other
Village or municipality.
4) That the subject property is vacant.
5) That the undersigned constitute all owners of record,
contract purchasers and other persons with an interest in
said property, excluding any easement and leasehold
interest.
6) That the undersigned are desirous of annexing the subject
property to the Village of Lemont provided that prior to the
annexation of the subject property, an annexation agreement
is executed by and between the undersigned and the Village
of Lemont, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/11- 15.1 -1
et seq. in a form and content satisfactory to all parties.
7) That the subject property is contiguous to the corporate
limits of the Village of Lemont.
8) That upon annexation of the subject property to the
Village of Lemont the undersigned petitioner,
Lemont - Bromberek Combined School District 113A, intends to
construct a publicly owned and operated middle school
thereon.
9) That there will be no change of the Fire Protection
District or Public Library District serving the subject
property following annexations to the Village of Lemont and
therefore the requirement of 65 ILCS 5/7 -1 -1 to notify the
trustees of the Fire Protection District and Public Library
District is not required.
10) That the subject property is not contiguous with nor
does it include any roads under the jurisdiction of any
township.
WHEREFORE, the undersigned respectfully request as follows:
A) That the corporate authorities of the Village of Lemont
hold such public hearings as required by law;
B) That the corporate authorities of the Village of Lemont
enter into the annexation agreement to be hereafter
submitted by the undersigned;
C) That upon execution of said annexation agreement and only
in the event said annexation agreement is executed, that the
corporate authorities of the Village of Lemont annex the
subject property, all in compliance with such statutes and
ordinances as are required by law;
D) That such other, further, or additional action be taken
as is appropriate in the premises.
