COUNTY RECORDER AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT FROM COOK COUNTY R -3 SINGLE - FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO VILLAGE OF LEMONT R -1 SINGLE - FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT (Cog Hill Golf Course) This ADOPTED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT day of Published in pamphlet form by authority of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont, Cook, DuPage, and W l l Counties, llinois this day of ` , 1995. , 1995. tit .. if A4 ORDINANCE NO. 9a AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT FROM COOK COUNTY R -3 SINGLE - FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO VILLAGE OF LEMONT R -1 SINGLE - FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT (Cog Hill Golf Course) WHEREAS, Cook Golf Properties, Inc., hereinafter referred to as "the Petitioner ", is the owner of an approximately 25 acre parcel, hereinafter referred to as "the subject property ", located on the north side of McCarthy Road and Archer Avenue in Lemont, Illinois and legally described in Exhibit "A ";and WHEREAS, the Petitioner made application under the provisions of the Lemont Zoning Ordinance of 1980 (No.426),for a Zoning Map amendment from Cook County R -3 Single- family Residence to Village of Lemont R -1 Single- family Residence; and WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission of the Village of Lemont, Illinois (the "Village ") did heretofore commence and conduct a Public Hearing on September 19, 1995 for approval of a Zoning Map Amendment; and WHEREAS, a notice of the aforesaid Public Hearing was made in the manner provided by law and was published in the Lemont Metropolitan, a newspaper of general circulation within the Village; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont, after a public hearing as required by law, approved Zoning Map Amendment;and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village have determined that the best interests of the Village will be served by approving the Zoning Map Amendment as described herein; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, DuPAGE, AND WILL, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: Zoning District Change. The subject property described above is hereby rezoned from its present Cook County R -3 Single- family Residence District to Village of Lemont R -1 Single - family Residence District. PIN No. 22 -27- 101 -001; 22 -27- 200 -009; 1 , 1995. 47F'" ORDINANCE NO. 9a 9' AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW A GOLF COURSE IN THE R -1 DISTRICT (Cog Hill Golf and Country Club) WHEREAS, Cook Golf Properties, Inc. is the owner of approximately 25 acres, hereinafter referred to as the subject property," generally located on the north side of McCarthy Road and Archer Avenue in Lemont, Illinois and legally described in Exhibit "A ", attached; and WHEREAS, Section VII.B.2 of the Village of Lemont Zoning Ordinance designates golf courses as a Special Use in the R -1 District; and WHEREAS, Cook Golf Properties, Inc. hereinafter referred to as "the Petitioner ", filed an application for approval of a special use permit to continue the existing golf course uses; and WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission of the Village of Lemont, Illinois conducted a Public Hearing on September 19, 1995 on the petitioner's request for a special use permit; and WHEREAS, notice of the aforesaid Public Hearing was made in the manner provided by law and was published in the Lemont Metropolitan, a newspaper of general circulation within the Village; and WHEREAS, the proposed special use is generally consistent with the Village Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village have determined that the best interests of the Village will be served by the adoption of an ordinance to approve the special use permit as specified below; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village approve the special use permit for the subject property pursuant to ILCS 24, 11- 13 -1.1. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, DuPAGE, AND WILL, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: Special Use Permit Approval.
