THROUGH, STOP. AND ONE -WAY STREETS
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont
that the Lemont Municipal Code Chapter 10.12 be amended to add the following through
streets and stop sign intersections to Chapter 10.12 as follows:
10.12.010 THROUGH STREETS
The driver of a vehicle shall stop at the entrance to a through street and shall yield
the right of way to other vehicles which have entered the intersection, or which are
approaching so close on a through street as to constitute an immediate hazard,
unless directed otherwise by a traffic officer or a traffic control signal.
The following streets or portions thereof are hereby designated as through streets:
1. Lemont Road.
2. State Street.
3. New Avenue.
4. Chicago- Joliet Road.
5. Main Street.
6. Illinois Street.
7. 127th Street.
8. McCarthy Road.
9. Stephen St.
10. First Street.
11. Julia Street.
12. McCarthy Street.
13. Freehauf Street.
14. Schultz Street.
15. Hillview Drive.
16. Keepataw Drive (from State Street to Hillview Drive).
17. Wend Street.
18. Roberta Lane.
19. Peiffer Avenue.
20. Weimer Avenue (from State Street to Warner Avenue).
21. Walter Street (from Wend Street to 127th Street).
22. Logan Street.
23. Timberline Drive.
24. Archer Avenue.
25. Wexford Drive (from McCarthy Road to Wheeler Drive).
26. Wheeler Drive (from Chicago - Joliet Road to Hilltop Drive).
27. Woodcrest Lane.

INTERSECTIONS AND TWO -WAY.
It is unlawful to operate any vehicle in violation of the following posted stop signs:
151. Wexford Drive stops for McCarthy Road.
152. Wexford Drive stops for Wheeler Drive.
153. Wexford Court stops for Wexford Drive.
154. Mayfair Court stops for Wexford Drive.
155. Lindsay Court stops for Wexford Drive.
156. Hilltop Drive stops for Wexford Drive.
157. Hilltop Court stops for Wexford Drive.
158. Wheeler Drive stops for Chicago - Joliet Road.
159. Wheeler Drive stops for Hilltop Drive.
160. Lennox Court stops for Wheeler Drive.
161. Coach Lane stops for Blacksmith Lane.

10.12.033 ALL -WAY STOP INTERSECTIONS.
It is unlawful to operate any vehicle in violation of the following posted stop signs:
18. Wheeler Drive and Wexford Drive.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval
and publication in the manner provided by law.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith shall be and the same are
hereby repealed.
The Village Clerk of the Village of Lemont shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and cause the same to be published in pamphlet form.
