APR- S -93 MON 16 12 P _ CIS ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5.16 OF rae LEMONT MUNICIPAL CODE ENTITLED BILLIARD HALLS AND POOL HALLS BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont that The Lemont Municipal Code Chapter S.16 entitled "Billiard Halls and Pool Halls" is hereby amended as follows: Chapter 5.16, Section 5.16.030 entitled "Hours of Opertion" be deleted. Chapter 5.16, Section 5.16.040 entitled "Minors under Eighteen - Restrictions" be deleted. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication In the manner provided by law. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith shall be and the same are hereby repealed. The Village Clerk of the Village of Lemont shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published in pamphlet foram. ORZLEY, V age esident P 4 Chapter 5.16 BILLIARD HALLS AND POOLHALLS Sections: 5.16.010 5.16.020 5.16.030 5.16.040 5.16.050 License— Required- Application. License —Fee. Hours of operation. Minors under eighteen — Restrictions. Violation — Penalty. 5.16.010 License— Required- Application. No person, firm or corporation shall operate, maintain or conduct a billiard, pool or bagatelle or pigeon hole table open to the public without having first obtained a license therefor as is required in this chapter. All applications for such a license shall state thereon the intended location of the place of business and the number of tables to be used therein. (Prior code § 19.301) 5.16.020 License —Fee. The annual fee for any such license shall be six dollars for each pool or bil- liard table located on the premises. (Ord. 248 (part), 1968: prior code § 19.302) 97 5.16.010 5.16.030 Hours of operation. No billiard hall nor other hall licensed hereunder shall be open for business or used between the hours of one a.m. and nine a.m. on a weekday, or between the hours of one a.m. and twelve noon on a Sunday. (Prior code § 19.304) 5.16.040 Minors under eighteen — Restrictions. Minors under the age of eighteen years shall not under any circumstances fre- quent, loiter, go or remain in any hall licensed under this chapter at any time, unless it is upon some lawful errand and sent under the direction and the consent and knowledge of the parent, guardian or other persons having the lawful custody of such minor; and it is unlawful for the proprietor of any hall so licensed to allow or permit any such minor to frequent, loiter or remain within the hall in vio- lation of this section. (Prior code § 19.303) 5.16.050 Violation — Penalty. Any person, firm or corporation vio- lating any provisions of this chapter shall be fined not less than five dollars nor more than five hundred dollars for each offense. (Prior code § 19.305)
