AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT
FOR APPROXIMATELY 18 ACRES LOCATED SOUTHWEST
OF THE INTERSECTION OF 127TH STREET AND STATE STREET
WHEREAS, Marquette National Bank, as Trustee under agreement
dated August 26, 1977, known as Trust No. 8003, as to Parcel No. 1,
as hereinafter defined (hereinafter referred to as "Trust No.
8003 ") and Marquette National Bank, as Trustee under Agreement
dated October 10, 1978, known as Trust No. 8754, as to Parcel Nos.
2 and 3, as hereinafter defined (hereinafter referred to as "Trust
No. 8754 ") are the owners of approximately 18 acres, hereinafter
referred to as "the subject property," generally located southwest
of 127th Street and State Street in Lemont, Illinois and legally
described as follows:

WHEREAS, Mr. Michael Finnegan, hereinafter referred to as "the
Petitioner ", has been duly authorized by the Owners to file an
application for annexation to the Village of the subject property;
and
WHEREAS, the Petitioner made application under the provisions
of the Lemont Zoning Ordinance of 1980 (No. 426), as amended, for
an amendment to the Lemont Zoning Map ; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Lemont,
Illinois conducted a Public Hearing on November 2, 1993 on the
petitioner's request for a zoning map amendment; and
WHEREAS, notice of the aforesaid Public Hearing was made in
the manner provided by law and was published in the Lemont
Metropolitan, a newspaper of general circulation within the
Village; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont Board of Trustees, after a
public hearing as required by law, approved an annexation agreement
between the Village and the owners of the subject property, which
agreement requires the Village of Lemont to amend the zoning
classification of the subject property as described herein; and
WHEREAS, the proposed zoning districts are generally
consistent with the. Village Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
have determined that the best interests of the Village will be
served by the adoption of an ordinance amending the zoning
classification of the subject property as specified below; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
approve the amendment of the Lemont Zoning Map for the subject
property pursuant to Ill.Rev.Stat.Ch.24, 11- 13 -14.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, DuPAGE, AND
WILL, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: B -3 Commercial District. The Lemont Zoning Map is rA
hereby amended from Cook County R -4 Single- family Residence
District to B -3 Commercial District on the property legally 114

SECTION 3: R -3 Single - family Residence District. The Lemont
Zoning Map is hereby amended from Cook County R -4 Single - family
Residence District to R -3 Single - family Residence District on the

SUBDIVISION OF PART OF LOTS 17, 18 AND 20 IN COUNTY CLERK'S
DIVISION OF SECTION 32, TOWNSHIP 37 NORTH, RANGE 11, EAST OF
THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, IN LEMONT TOWNSHIP, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS
THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND
AFTER ITS PASSAGE, APPROVAL AND PUBLICATION IN A MANNER PROVIDED BY
LAW.
