RESOLUTION NO. 3 I DATE OF APPROVAL '"Aki' 99_,., A RESOLUTION OF OBJECTION TO COOK COUNTY ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS REGARDING A REQUEST FOR A SPECIAL USE FOR A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT IN R -4 SINGLE - FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT - APPROXIMATELY 76 ACRES LOCATED IN LEMONT TOWNSHIP WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont is a zoned municipality with limits near to the property which is the subject matter of a request for a Special Use in the cause known as Docket Number 5804 before the Cook County Zoning Board of Appeals, said property being described as follows: E. 1/2 of NW 1/4 of Sec. 31, T37N, R11, E. of 3rd PM except E'ly 300.00' of N'ly 726.00' of said NW 1/4 (See ZBA Docket #5804) WHEREAS, the entire boundary of the subject property is within one and one -half miles of the corporate limits of the Village of Lemont; and WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan of the Village of Lemont provides that the subject property shall be utilized and developed for light- industrial use; and WHEREAS, the planned extension of the I -355 North -South Tollway includes an interchange at 127th Street, making the designated light - industrial use a viable one for the subject property; and WHEREAS, the petitioners are proposing that the subject property be developed primarily for single - family residential use, which is in conflict with the Village of Lemont Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS, as water and sewer are currently unavailable to the site, County health standards dictate minimum requirements for well and septic which cannot be met under the standards of the Cook County R -4 district classification. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont, Counties of Cook, DuPage and Will, State of Illinois, that the Village of Lemont hereby objects in writing to the proposed Special Use. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law. This resolution shall be published in pamphlet form.
