ORDINANCE NO. 2 ��
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY
TO THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COOK, WILL & DUPAGE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS
WITH THE METROPOLITAN WATER RECLAMATION DISTRICT
OF GREATER CHICAGO AND POWELL DUFFRYN TERMINALS, INC.
WHEREAS, a written petition, signed by the legal owner of record of all land within
the territory hereinafter described, has been filed with the Village Clerk of the Village of
Lemont, Cook, Will and DuPage Counties, Illinois, requesting that said territory be
annexed to the Village of Lemont; and
WHEREAS, there are no electors residing within the said territory; and
WHEREAS, the said territory is not within the corporate limits of any municipality, l.a
but is contiguous to the Village of Lemont; and
WHEREAS, legal notices regarding the intention of the Village to annex said
territory have been sent to all public bodies required to receive such notice by State
statute; and
WHEREAS, copies of such notices required to be recorded, if any, have been
recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook and DuPage Counties; and
WHEREAS, the legal owner of record of said territory and the Village of Lemont
have entered into a valid and binding Annexation Agreement relating to such territory;
and WHEREAS, all petitions, documents and other necessary legal requirements are in
full compliance with the terms of said Annexation Agreement and with the statutes of the
State of Illinois, specifically Chapter 24, Paragraph 7 -1 -8, Illinois Revised Statutes, 1971;
and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Village of Lemont, that said territory be
annexed thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTY OF COOK, WILL & DUPAGE,
STATE OF ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1: That the following described territory:
(See attached legal description which has been
identified as Exhibit A and made a part hereof)
being indicated on an accurate map of the annexed territory, (which is appended to and
made a part of this Ordinance), is hereby annexed to the Village of Lemont, Counties of
Cook and DuPage, State of Illinois.
SECTION 2: That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to record with the Recorder
of Deeds and to file with the County Clerk a certified copy of this Ordinance together with
an accurate map of the territory annexed appended to this Ordinance.
SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTY OF COOK, WILL AND DUPAGE,
ILLINOIS, on this 9th day of March, 1992.

I further certify that on March 9 , 19 92 , the Corporate
Authorities of such municipality passed and approved Ordinance No. 719
entitled An Ordinance Annexing Certain Territory to the Village of Lemont, Cook,
Will & DuPage Counties, Illinois with the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District
of Greater Chicago and Powell Duffryn Terminals; Inc.
which provided by its terms that it should be published in pamphlet form.
The pamphlet form of Ordinance No. 719 , including the Ordinance and
a cover sheet thereof, was prepared, and a copy of such Ordinance was posted in the
municipal building, commencing on March 10

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF
THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT TO CLASSIFY METROPOLITAN
WATER RECLAMATION DISTRICT 0' GREATER CHICAGO PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Lemont,
pursuant to proper public notice, conducted a public hearing on
April 7, 1992, to consider a request by the Metropolitan Water
Reclamation District of Greater Chicago to zone and classify
approximately 330 acres of property as M -3; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission has recommended the approval of
said rezoning as set forth in an Annexation Agreement dated May 2,
1991, and approved March 9, 1992; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Lemont have determined that the application for said zoning and
classification meets the requirements of the Village of Lemont and
the granting of the zoning and classification is in the best
interests of the Village: and
WHEREAS, said zoning and classification is in accordance with
a certain Annexation Agreement by and between the Village of Lemont
and the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago
dated May 2, 1991 and approved March 3, 1992.
NOW, THEREOF, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT:
SECTION ONE: That the Zoning Map of the Village of Lemont is
hereby amended by adding thereto and classifying the following
property as M -3 manufacturing and uses permitted under the Cook
County's 1 -3 and DuPage County's 1 -2 Zoning Classifications:
That part of section 15, Township 37 North, Range 11, East of the
Third Principal Meridian, described as follows: Beginning at the
intersection of the East line of said Section 15 and the south line
of the Main Channel of the Sanitary Drainage and ship Canal; thence
Southwesterly along last said South line to the centerline of said
Section 15; thence Southeast on a line normal to last traversed
line to the North line of the Illinois & Michigan Canal; thence
Southwesterly along last said North line to the DuPage County line;
thence Westerly along last said DuPage County line to the West line
of said Section 15; thence North 881.07 feet along said West line
to the North line of the Des Plaines River Diversion Channel;
thence Northeasterly along last said North line to the East and
West centerline of said Section 15; thence East along said
centerline to the North bank of the Des Plaines River Diversion;
thence Southeast to the centerline of said river; thence
Northeasterly along the centerline of the Des Plaines River
Division to the East line of said Section 15; thence South along
last said East line to the place of beginning, all in DuPage
County, Illinois.
