RESOLUTION GRANTING AN EASEMENT
FOR 304 CANAL STREET, LEMONT, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont, a Municipal Corporation whose Village Hall is located
at 418 Main Street, Lemont, Illinois in consideration of the sum of One Dollar, hereby grants an
easement to Commonwealth Edison Company to relocate overhead electrical facilities to underground
electrical facilities, for property at 304 Canal Street in Lemont, Illinois which is legally described as
follows:
THE SOUTHERLY FIVE (5') FEET OF THE NORTHERLY TWENTY -THREE (23')
FEET OF THE WESTERLY FIVE (5') FEET AND ALSO THE NORTHERLY FIVE (5')
FEET OF THE EASTERLY FIVE (5') FEET OF THE GRANTOR'S FOLLOWING
DESCRIBED PROPERTY:
LOTS 3 AND 4 IN THE SUBDIVISION OF LOT 3 IN THE SUBDIVISION OF THAT
PART OF LOTS 4 AND 5 IN BLOCK 34 LYING BETWEEN CANAL STREET AND
THE RAILROAD AND OF THAT PART OF HINSDALE STREET AND LAND
ADJOINING LYING BETWEEN CANAL STREET AND THE RAILROAD AND EAST
OF LULL OF LEMONT STREET, IN KEEPATAW, A SUBDIVISION IN SECTION 20,
TOWNSHIP 37 NORTH, RANGE 11 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN,
IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS, said Grant of Easement shall provide Commonwealth Edison the authority to
trim or remove trees, bushes and saplings and to clear obstructions from the surface as may be
necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, IS IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Lemont that the Grant of Easement attached hereto be hereby approved.

hereby acknowledged, hereby give(s)
end grant(s) to caMMONNZALTH EDISON
ccecANY, an Illinois Corporation and
AMERITSCE, a corporation, their
respective Licensees, successors and
assigns, an easement to construct,
operate, maintain, renew, relocate
and remove, from time to time,
poles, wires, cables, conduits,
manholes, transformers, pedestals
and other facilities used in
connection with overhead and
underground transmission and
distribution of electricity,
together with aright of access to the
same and the right, from time to time, to trim or remove trees, bushes and saplings and to
clear obstructions from the surface and subsurface as may be reasonably required incident
to the grant herein given, in, over, under, across, along and upon the surface of property
situated in Section 20 , Township 37 North, Range 11 , East of the Third Principal
Meridian in Cook County, Illinois, described as follows:
The Southerly five (5') feet of the Northerly twenty - throe (23') feet of the Westerly five
(5') feet and also the Northerly five (5') feet of the Easterly five (S') feet of the
Grantor's following described property:
lots 3 and 4 in the subdivision of Lot 3 in the subdivision of that part of Lots 4 and 5
in Black S4 lying between Canal street and the Railroad and of that part of Hinsdale
Street and land adjoining lying between Canal street and the Railroad and East of Lull of
Lint Street, in Weepotaw, a subdivision in section 20, Township 37 North, Range 11 East
of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Tllihnis,

COMPANY SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO OPERATE, MAINTAIN, REPAIR, RENEW, REPLACE AND REMOVE ITS
INSTALLED FACILITIES, BUT OWNER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REQUIRE COMPANY TO RELOCATE ITS
FACILITIES TO ALTERNATE MUTUALLY AGREED UPON LOCATIONS, PROVIDED HOWEVER, THAT OWNER SHALL
FIRST PAY TO COMPANY THE COSTS AND EXPENSES TO BE INCURRED BY IT IN CONNECTION WITH SUCH
RELOCATION.
