AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIANCE TO ALLOW
TOTAL SIGNAGE TO BE 208 SQUARE FEET
INSTEAD OF THE MAXIMUM PERMITTED 120 SQUARE FEET IN AREA
(White Hen Pantry - 814 -816 State Street)
WHEREAS, an application has been filed by John Planert as
agent for White Hen Pantry in connection with a Request for
Variation for the property legally described in Exhibit "A" and
located at 814 -816 State Street, Lemont, Illinois.
WHEREAS, the applicant is seeking relief from the Lemont
Zoning Ordinance in order to allow total signage to be 208 square
feet in area instead of the maximum permitted 120 square feet
pursuant to Secttion VIII -D -6 -b of the Lemont Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the Village of
Lemont, Illinois, in accordance with said Zoning Ordinance,
conducted a Public Hearing on the petition on October 15, 1996; and
WHEREAS, a notice of the aforesaid Public Hearing was made in
the manner provided by law and was published in the Reporter
Progress, a newspaper of general circulation within the Village;
and
WHEREAS, the Lemont Planning and Zoning Commission has
recommended approval of the variation to the Village Board; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
have determined that the best interest of the Village will be
served by the approval of this petition granting a variation for
the subject property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Lemont, that the petitioner, White Hen
Pantry, be granted a variation to allow signage to be 208 square
feet in area instead of the maximum permitted 120 square feet.
