AN ORDINANCE GRANTING VARIANCES
AT 127TH AND STATE STREETS
(Lemont National Bank)
WHEREAS, an application has been filed by The Lemont National
Bank and Trust Company in connection with a Request for Variations
for the property legally described in Exhibit "A" and located on
the southeast corner of 127th and State Street, Lemont, Illinois.
WHEREAS, the applicant is seeking relief from the Lemont
Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the Village of
Lemont, Illinois, in accordance with said Zoning Ordinance,
conducted a Public Hearing on the petition on December 17, 1996,
January 7, 1997 and a Special Meeting January 22, 1997; and
WHEREAS, a notice of the aforesaid Public Hearing was made in
the manner provided by law and was published in the Lemont Reporter
Progress, a newspaper of general circulation within the Village;
and
WHEREAS, the Lemont Planning and Zoning Commission has
recommended approval of the variations to the Village Board; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
have determined that the best interest of the Village will be
served by the approval of the requested variances.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, DuPAGE, AND
WILL, ILLINOIS, that the petitioner, The Lemont National Bank and
Trust Company, be granted the following variations in accordance
with the site plan, attached hereto as Exhibit "B ":
1. Variation to permit off - street parking spaces to be 0 to
3.2 feet from the 127th Street and State Street right -of -way
line instead of the minimum required 15 feet, pursuant to
Section X -D -7 of the Lemont Zoning Ordinance.
2. Variation to permit 33 parking spaces instead of the
minimum required 37 spaces, pursuant to Section X- D- 12 -d -(3)
of the Lemont Zoning Ordinance.
3. Variation to allow a waiver of all loading space
requirements instead of the two (2) spaces required, pursuant
to Section X- D -13 -h of the Lemont Zoning Ordinance.
4. Variation to allow a freestanding sign to be located on the
front property line instead of the minimum required 15 feet,
pursuant to Section VIII -E -7 -c of the Lemont Zoning Ordinance.
THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND
AFTER ITS PASSAGE, APPROVAL AND PUBLICATION IN A MANNER PROVIDED BY
LAW.
