AN ORDINANCE GRANTING VARIANCES
TO THE LEMONT ZONING ORDINANCE
(131st Street and Bell Road, Lemont, Illinois)
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont, hereinafter referred to as "the Petitioner ", and
pursuant to an annexation agreement dated , and recorded as
Document number , desires to grant variances to the Lemont Zoning
Ordinance on a 2 acre parcel hereinafter referred to as "the subject property ", located near
the northwest comer of 131st Street and Bell Road in Lemont, Illinois and legally described
in Exhibit "A "; and
WHEREAS, the Petitioner made application under the provisions of the Lemont
Zoning Ordinance of 1980 (No. 426), for Variance for a rear yard setback reduction,
pursuant to Section VIII -E -6 -c of the Lemont Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the Village of Lemont, Illinois,
in accordance with said Zoning Ordinance, conducted a Public Hearing on the petition on
January 7, 1997; and
WHEREAS, a notice of the aforesaid Public Hearing was made in the manner
provided by law and was published in the Lemont Reporter, a newspaper of general
circulation within the Village; and
WHEREAS, the Lemont Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended
approval of variations to Section VIII -E -6 -c of the Lemont Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village have determined
that the best interest of the Village will be served by the approval of this petition granting
variations for the subject property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, DuPAGE, AND
WILL, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the petitioner, the Village of Lemont, be granted the following
variation:
1. To allow two (2) accessory pipeline buildings to be 10 and 25 feet from the rear
lot line instead of the minimum required 40 feet required.

Recorder's Office of Cook County. Illinois. said tract being described as follows:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of the said Northeast Quarter (NE /4): thence northerly along
the East line of the said Northeast Quarter (NE /4) with on assumed bearing of North 0 degrees 37
minutes 25 seconds East o distance of 897.20 feet to the South line of the North 425.00 feet of the said
Quarter: thence North 89 degrees 47 minutes 18 seconds West. along the last described line. a
distance of 335.01 feet along to the POINT OF BEGINNING of the tract of land herein described:
