A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING DISPOSAL BY PUBLIC AUCTION /SALE OF
PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT.
WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three - fourths of the corporate
authorities of the Village of Lemont, it is no longer necessary or useful to
or for the best interests of the Village of Lemont to retail ownership of the
personal property herein after described; and
Whereas, it has been determined by the President and the Board of
Trustees of the Village of Lemont to sell said personal property at a public
auction /sale to be held Saturday, July 17, 1999.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT /MAYOR AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT:
SECTION ONE: Pursuant to Section 121 -76 -4 of the Illinois Municipal
Code, Illinois Revised Statutes, Section 11 -76 -4, the President and the Board
of Trustees of the Village of Lemont find that the following described
personal property: SEE ATTACHED INVENTORY FORM
now owned by the Village of Lemont, is no longer necessary or useful to the
Village of Lemont, and the best interests of the Village of Lemont will be
served by its sale.
SECTION TWO: Pursuant to said Section 11- 6 -76 -4, the Village
Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to sell the aforementioned
personal property now owned by the Villagey of Lemont, at public auction /sale
on Saturday, July 17, 1999 at Bridgeview Public Works Facility , at 9:00 A.M.
SECTION THREE: The Village Administrator is hereby authorized and
may direct the Southwest Conference of Local Governments to advertise the sale
of the aforementioned personal property in a newspaper published within the
community before the date of said public auction /sale.
SECTION FOUR: The Village Administrator and or the Village President
is hereby authorized and directed to convey and transfer title ownership to
the aforesaid personal property, to the successful bidder /buyer.
SECTION FIVE: No bid which is less than minimum value set forth in
list of property to be sold shall be accepted, unless a lower amount is
authorized by the Village Administrator or his representative at the
auction /sale.
SECTION SIX: Upon payment of the full price, the Village
Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to convey and transfer title
or ownership to the aforesaid personal property, to the successful
bidder /buyer.
SECTION SEVEN: This resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, by vote of at least three - fourths of the corporate
authorities, and approval in the manner provided by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL AND DUPAGE,
