R -4 SINGLE - FAMILY RESIDENCE TO
R -6 MULTI - FAMILY RESIDENCE
(308 State Street, Lemont, Illinois)
WHEREAS, Jeff Guzlas, hereinafter referred to as "the Petitioner ", is the owner of an 8712 square foot
parcel, hereinafter referred to as "the subject property ", located at 308 State Street and legally described in
Exhibit "A "; and
WHEREAS, the Petitioner made application under the provisions of the Lemont Zoning Ordinance of
1980 (No.426),for a Zoning Map amendment from Lemont R -4 Single - family Residence to R -6 Multi- family
District to permit the construction of a 2 unit dwelling; and
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission of the Village of Lemont, Illinois (the "Village ") did
heretofore commence and conduct a Public Hearing on September 15, 1998 for approval of a Zoning Map
Amendment; and
WHEREAS, a notice of the aforesaid Public Hearing was made in the manner provided by law and was
published in the Daily SouthTown a newspaper of general circulation within the Village; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont, after a public hearing as
required by law, approved a Zoning Map Amendment; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village have determined that the best interests
of the Village will be served by approving the Zoning Map Amendment as described herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, DuPAGE, AND WILL, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: Zoning District Change. The subject property described above is hereby rezoned from
its present Village of Lemont R-4 Single - family Residence to Lemont R -6 Multi - family Residence. The
zoning map of the Village of Lemont is hereby amended in accordance with the provisions of this
Ordinance.

THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER
ITS PASSAGE, APPROVAL AND PUBLICATION IN A MANNER PROVIDED BY LAW.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF LEMONY, COUNTIES OF COOK, DUPAGE AND WILL, ILLLNOIS, ON THIS 12th
