RESOLUTION APPROVING PLAT OF CONSOLIDATION
AND PLAT OF VACATION FOR PUBLIC UTILITY AND DRAINAGE EASEMENTS
AT 127TH STREET IN LEMONT, ILLINOIS
(Chestnut Crossing -Our House Studio)
WHEREAS, the petitioner, Combined Management, Inc., is the owner of certain
property consisting of Lot 17 and Lot 18 in Chestnut Crossing Subdivision generally
located southeast of 127th Street and Chestnut Crossing Drive in Lemont, Illinois and
legally described in Exhibit "A" attached; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner desires to re- subdivide the property into one parcel; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner has prepared a one (1) lot Plat of Consolidation for the
subject property; and
WHEREAS, the Plat of Consolidation is in substantial conformance with the
physical development policies and standards of the Village of Lemont; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance 834, the Community Development Director has
recommended approval of the Plat of Consolidation; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner is requesting an abrogation of an existing 15 foot public
utility and drainage easement located between Lots 17 and 18 as indicated on the Plat of
Consolidation, attached as Exhibit "B "; and
WHEREAS, the proposed development on the subject property would encroach on
the existing public utility and drainage easements; and
WHEREAS, the public utility and drainage easements will not be utilized as part of
the proposed development; and
WHEREAS, the public utility and drainage easements will be relocated elsewhere
on the subject property and will allow for more orderly development of the property.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the President and. Board of Trustees of
the Village of Lemont that the Plat of Consolidation for Lot 17 and Lot 18 in Chestnut
Crossing and the abrogation of public utility and drainage easement, which are attached
hereto and made part hereof, are hereby approved.
