'D - 11 - v 4 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT FROM R -1 SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO B -4 COMMERCIAL RECREATION DISTRICT (Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago) ADOPTED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT THIS 10th DAY OF MAY, 2004 Published in pamphlet form by authority of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont, Cook, DuPage, and Will Counties, Illinois this 10th day of May, 2004 ORDINANCE Ni 1 ° 0 c( AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT FROM R -1 SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO B -4 COMMERCIAL RECREATION DISTRICT (Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago) WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago is the owner of a 206 acre parcel, hereinafter referred to as "the subject property," generally located between the Sanitary and Ship Canal and the DesPlaines River, and between the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad and the Will -Cook County Line, legally described in Exhibit "A "; and WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont and the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago executed an Annexation Agreement authorized by Village Ordinance No. 0 -5- 04 dated March 22, 2004; and WHEREAS, the Annexation Agreement obligates the Village to classify the subject property as B -4 Commercial- Recreation District; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Lemont, Illinois (the "Village ") did heretofore commence and conduct a Public Hearing on April 20, 2004, for approval of a Zoning Map Amendment; and WHEREAS, a notice of the aforesaid Public Hearing was made in the manner provided by law and was published in the Lemont Reporter /Met a newspaper of general circulation within the Village; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont, after a public hearing as required by law, approved a Zoning Map Amendment; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village have determined that the best interests of the Village will be served by approving the Zoning Map Amendment as described herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, DuPAGE, AND WILL, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: Zoning District Change. The subject property described above is hereby rezoned from its present R -1 Single- Family Residence District to B -4 Commercial - Recreation District. The zoning map of the Village of Lemont is hereby amended in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance.
