RESOLUTION GRANTING APPROVAL TO USE
METAL EXTERIOR PANELS FOR TWO NEW
STRUCTURES AT THE COOK COMPOSITE AND POLYMERS CO.
WHEREAS, Cook Composites and Polymers Co. is the owner of the property located at
13511 Main Street in the Village of Lemont; and,
WHEREAS, Cook Composites and Polymers Co. is proposing to expand their
production facility located at 13511 Main Street in the Village of Lemont; and,
WHEREAS, Village of Lemont Ordinance 0 -69 -98 establishing exterior facade
requirements for structures other than single family and townhouse construction provides for the
sole use of face brick, split face masonry, stucco, EIFS, or other approved composite systems for
buildings of this nature; and,
WHEREAS, Village of Lemont Ordinance 0 -69 -98 also allows the Board the option to
approve metal exteriors on a case by case basis.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that upon Board consideration of the
attached proposaL the use of metal exterior panels for the two new structures at the Cook
Composites and Polymers Co. is hereby approved.

Dear Sir,
Our company intends on adding two buildings to our present site. One building (-4200 sq. ft.)
will be for a new process building adjacent to our existing product storage bi-t+Ti ii The Dither
building (- 2500 sq. ft.) will be for warehousing of finished product. Both of se buildings
will be pre - engineered using a metal panel exterior facade.
I understand there is an ordinance prohibiting the use of metal exterior panels-a5 facade material
unless approved in advance by the Village Board of Trustees. I am asking for approval to i this
material for our buildings for the following runes.
1. 80% of our existing buildings are metal sided.
2. Our plant is located in an industrial area off a private road.
3. The buildings to be built will be adjacent to existing metal sided buildings.
4. The buildings will not be readily visible from -the main road.
I understand the Village Board meets Feb. 10th so I would appreciate it if you would subs this
request at that meeting. I will also enclose a site plan indicating where the new buildings Abe
situated.
