AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING
TO THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COOK, DuPAGE, AND WILL COUNTIES, ILLINOIS,
A 52 ACRE PARCEL GENERALLY LOCATED ALONG MAIN STREET
BETWEEN MC CARTHY POINT SUBDIVISION AND HIRSEKORN RIDGE SUBDIVISION
(Fordham Hills Estates)
WHEREAS, a written petition, signed by the legal owner of record of all land within the territory
hereinafter described, has been filed with the Village Clerk of the Village of Lemont, Cook, DuPage, and Will
Counties, Illinois, requesting that said territory be annexed to the Village of Lemont; and
WHEREAS, there are no electors residing within said territory; and
WHEREAS, said territory is not within the corporate limits of any municipality, but is contiguous to
the Village of Lemont; and
WHEREAS, legal notices regarding the intention of the Village to annex said territory have been sent
to all public bodies required to receive such notice by State Statute; and
WHEREAS, the legal owners of record of said territories and the Village of Lemont have entered into
a valid and binding Annexation Agreement relating to such territory; and
WHEREAS, all petitions, documents and other necessary legal requirements are in full compliance with
the terms of said Annexation Agreement and with the statutes of the State of Illinois, specifically ILCS (1994)
65 5/7 -1 -8; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Village of Lemont that said territory be annexed thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COOK, DuPAGE AND WILL COUNTIES, STATE OF ILLINOIS,
as follows:
SECTION 1: That the territory described in Exhibit "A" , attached hereto being indicated on an accurate
map of the annexed territory, (which is attached hereto and made a part of this ordinance) is hereby annexed to
the Village of Lemont, Counties of Cook, DuPage, and Will, State of Illinois.
SECTION 2: That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to record with the Recorder of Deeds and to file
with the County Clerk a certified copy of this Ordinance together with an accurate map of the territory annexed
appended to this Ordinance.
SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and
publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, DuPAGE, AND WILL, ILLINOIS, on this

Tract C - 'That part of the Fast Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 21, Township 37
North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, Tying South and East of a line
described as follows: Beginning at a point on the East line of said Southwest Quarter.
320 feet South of the center of said Section 21, thence West along a line
perpendicular to said East line. 786.83 feet to the intersection with a line 325 feet
Southerly of and parallel with the Southerly line of the 60 foot right of way of the
Illinois Central Gulf Railroad (formerly the Chicago and Alton Railroad Company);
thence Southwesterly along said parallel line to the West line of the East Half of said
Southwest Quarter: excepting therefrom the following parceis of land: Beginning at
a point on the East line of the West Half of Section 21, 614.25 feet North of the
Southeast corner of the West Half of said Section 21; thence North on the East line
of the West Half of said Section 21, 1723.07 feet; thence West parallel with the
South line of said Section 21, 505 feet; thence South parallel with the East line of the

Company) as described in Document #1882375, excepting therefrom the following

a line 325 feet Southerly of and parallel with the Southerly line of said 60 foot right

line of the Lemont and Sag Road, said Southerly line being 67.00
feet Southerly of and parallel with the Southerly right of way line
of the Chicago and Ai ton Railroad Company as described in Oocuatent
Pia. 1882375, with a line 113.50 feet East of and parallel with the
East line of the West 1/2 of said Southwest 1/4 of Section 21; thence
South 0 °- 14' -35" East 272.89 feet along said East Tine. to a line that
is 325.00 feet Southerly of and parallel with said Southerly right of
way line of the Chicago and Alton Railroad Company; thence South 70 °-
44'-31" West 450.00 feet along said parallel line; thence North 0° -14'-

PETITION REQUESTING
ANNEXATION TO THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT
TO: THE VILLAGE CLERK, VILLAGE OF LEMONT, ILLINOIS
We, the undersigned Petitioners, owners of record or contract purchaser of the land
herein requested to be annexed, respectfully represent, under oath, that all the conditions
required for annexation to the Village of Lemont pursuant to and in accordance with Illinois
Municipal Code Chapter 65 Illinois Compiled Statutes Section 5/7 -1 -8 do hereby state under oath
to wit:
1. That the Territory requested to be annexed is described as follows:
(See legal description attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof)
2. That the described Territory is not within the corporate limits of any municipality but is
contiguous to the Village of Lemont, a municipal corporation of the Counties of Cook,
DuPage and Will, organized and existing under the laws of the State of Illinois.
3. That there are no electors residing on the Property.
4. That a Plat of Annexation showing the described Territory is attached hereto as
Exhibit "B" and made a part of this Petition.
5. That this Petition is signed by the President of the corporation that has an executed
contract to purchase all the real estate encompassing the Territory (Contract
Purchaser). Said contract is attached hereto as Exhibit "C" and made a part hereof.
6. That this Petition is revocable and subject to approval by the Petitioners of an
Annexation Agreement with the Village of Lemont and acceptable to the Contract
Purchaser, and the purchase of the Territory by the Contract Purchaser.
WHEREFORE, your Petitioners respectfully request the Corporate Authorities of the
Village of Lemont to annex the above - described Territory, subject to the Planned Unit
Development and the Annexation Agreement to be agreed to by the parties prior to adoption of
the Ordinance annexing said Territory, to the Village of Lemont.
