Dear Mr. Antonopoulos:
School District 113A has just obtained a survey and a legal description of the "Bov :1
property adjacent to Central School, and we arc in the process of preparing documents for ; ae
transfer of that property to the Village of Lemont pursuant to Section 5 -22 of the School Code, 105
1LCS 515 -22, and the Local Government Properly Transfer Aet, 50 ILCS 605/0.01 et seq.
However, the first step under the Local Govemrent Property Transfer Act is for the Vn
to pass an ordinance declaring it "necessary or conveaitnt for it to use, occupy or improve" , ie
Bowl property. 50 iLCS 605/2. Will you please provide us with such an dance? I will ask •.he
School. District to provide you with the legal description.
Also, I believe that the Village and the School District should enter into a b1:.ef
Intergovernmental Agreerr.ent outlining the rights and responsibilities of each before and after ':he
transfer. I have begun preparation of such a document and will provide a draft for your revi:-w
shortly.
