ORDINANCE GRANTING THE REQUEST FOR REZONING 807 STATE STREET TO B -1
(OFFICE /RETAIL TRANSITIONAL BUSINESS DISTRICT) FROM R -4 (SINGLE- FAMILY •
RESIDENCE DISTRICT) IN LEMONT, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, Audrius Remeikis, hereinafter referred to as "the Petitioner ", is the owner of an
approximately .23 acre parcel, hereinafter referred to as "the subject property", located at 807 State Street, in
Lemont, Illinois.
WHEREAS, the Petitioner made application under the provisions of the Lemont Zoning Ordinance
for the rezoning of the parcel in question to B -1 (Office/Retail Transitional Business District) from R -4
(Single - Family Residence District), pursuant under Section XVIII J.
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Lemont, Illinois, in accordance with
said Zoning Ordinance, conducted a Public Hearing on the petition on October 2 and November 6, 2001;
WHEREAS, a notice of the aforesaid Public Hearing was made in the manner provided by law and
was published in the Lemont Reporter Met, a newspaper of general circulation within the Village; and
WHEREAS, notwithstanding failure of the Zoning Board of Appeal's motion to approve the request
for rezoning, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village have determined that the best interest of the
Village will be served by the approval of this petition granting a map amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Lemont, that the Petitioner, Audrius Remeikis, be granted the requested rezoning to B -1 (Office/Retail
Transitional Business District) from R -4 (Single - Family Residence District).
Section 1. A zoning map amendment is granted to allow the change in the zoning classification of
807 State Street from R -4 (Single- Family Residence District) to B -1 ( Office/Retail Transitional Business
District) as illustrated in the Plat of Survey attached as Exhibit "A ".
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL, AND DU PAGE, ILLINOIS, on this 26'h
day of November 2001.
