AN ORDINANCE GRANTING THE REQUEST FOR REZONING FOR 1301
CHESTNUT CROSSING DRIVE LEMONT, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, Chestnut Crossing Trust, hereinafter referred to as "the Petitioner", is the
contract owner of an approximately 1 -acre parcel, hereinafter referred to as "the subject property"
with the P.I.N. 22- 33- 107 -004 in Lemont, Illinois, said parcel legally described in Exhibit "A"
attached to this Ordinance.
WHEREAS, the Petitioner made application under the provisions of the Lemont Zoning
Ordinance for the rezoning of the parcel in question to R -5 Single Family Attached Residence
District from B -3 Arterial Commercial Zoning pursuant under Section XVIII J.
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Lemont, Illinois, in accordance
with said Zoning Ordinance, conducted a Public Hearing on the petition on August 6, 2002;
WHEREAS, a notice of the aforesaid Public Hearing was made in the manner provided by
law and was published in the Lemont Reporter Met, a newspaper of general circulation within the
Village; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended approval of the rezoning to
the Village Board; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Lemont, that the Petitioner, Chestnut Crossing Trust, be granted the requested rezoning to
R -5 Single Family Attached Residence District from B -3 Arterial Commercial Zoning.
That a zoning map amendment is granted to allow the change in the zoning classification of the
parcel with the P.I.N. # 22 -33- 107 -004 to R -5 Single Family Attached Residence District from B -3
Arterial Commercial Zoning, as illustrated in the Plat of Survey attached as Exhibit "B ".
