AN ORDINANCE GRANTING THE REQUEST FOR REZONING OF APPROXIMATELY
SEVENTY -SIX (76) ACRES, GENERALLY LOCATED IN THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF
127' STREET AND SMITH ROAD EXTENDED, IN LEMONT, ILLINOIS
(Briarcliffe Subdivision)
WHEREAS, Paul McNaughton, McNaughton Development, Inc., hereinafter referred
to as "the Petitioner ", is the contract owner of approximately seventy -six (76) acres,
hereinafter referred to as the subject property ", legal description attached cis Exhibit "A"
and with the P.I.N. #'s 22 -30- 302 -002 and 003, and 22 -30- 300 - 001 -003, in Lemont, Illinois.
WHEREAS, the Petitioner made application under the provisions of the Lemont
Zoning Ordinance for the rezoning of the parcel in question to Lemont R -4 Zoning (Single
Family Detached Residence District) from Cook County R -4 Zoning (Single Family Residence
District) and Lemont B -3 Zoning (Arterial Commercial District), pursuant under Section
XVIII J.
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Lemont, Illinois, in
accordance with said Zoning Ordinance, conducted a Public Hearing on the petition on March
3, 2003;
WHEREAS, a notice of the aforesaid Public Hearing was made in the manner
provided by law and was published in the Lemont Reporter Met, a newspaper of general
circulation within the Village; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended approval of the rezoning
to the Village Board by a vote of 6 -0; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Lemont, that the Petitioner, Mr. Paul McNaughton, be granted the requested
rezoning to Lemont R -4 Zoning (Single Family Detached Residence District) from Cook
County R -4 Zoning (Single Family Residence District) and Lemont B -3 Zoning (Arterial
Commercial District).
Section 1. A zoning map amendment is granted to allow the change in the zoning
classification of the parcel with the P.I.N. #'s 22 -30- 302 -002 and 003, and 22-30- 300 -001-
003 to R -4 Zoning (Single Family Detached Residence District) from Cook County R -4 Zoning
(Single Family Residence District).

THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL, AND DU PAGE,
ILLINOIS, on this 24th day of March, 2003.
