AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT A 28.4 ACRE VACANT PARCEL,
COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE KLAPPA FARM, GENERALLY LOCATED WEST OF THE PROPOSED I-
355 TOLLWAY EXTENSION, EAST OF ROLLING MEADOWS SUBDIVISION, SOUTH OF 127' STREET
WHEREAS, the Clerk of the Village of Lemont has received a petition for annexation pursuant to Chapter 65,
Act 5, Section 7 -1 -1 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes: and,
WHEREAS, the territory described in the petition is not within the corporate limits of any municipality but is
contiguous to the Village of Lemont; and,
WHEREAS, the land proposed to be annexed will continue to be serviced by the same Fire Protection District
and Library District and will include a portion of roadway under the jurisdiction of the Lemont township; and,
WHEREAS, the Village has previously approved a certain annexation agreement which obligates the Village to
annex the property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees ofthe Village of Lemont,
Counties of Cook, DuPage, and Will, State of Illinois, as follows:
Section 1. That the following described territory: (Exhibit "A" attached), P.I.N. # 22 -31- 200 -004 being indicated
on an accurate map ofthe annexed territory (Exhibit `B" attached) is hereby annexed to the Village of Lemont, Counties of
Cook, DuPage, and Will, State of Illinois.
Section 2. That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to record with the Recorder of Deeds and to file with the
County Clerk a certified copy of this Ordinance together with an accurate map of the territory annexed appended to the
Ordinance
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and
publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
Section 4. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith shall be and the same are hereby repealed.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE
OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL, AND DU PAGE, ILLINOIS, on this 13th day of May, 2002.
