AN ORDINANCE GRANTING THE REQUEST FOR REZONING FOR A 28.4 ACRE VACANT
PARCEL, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE KLAPPA FARM, GENERALLY LOCATED WEST OF THE
PROPOSED I -355 TOLLWAY EXTENSION, EAST OF ROLLING MEADOWS SUBDIVISION, SOUTH OF
127TH STREET IN LEMONT, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, Dr. Thomas Evans, Rolling Meadows, L.L.C., hereinafter referred to as "the Petitioner ", is the
contract owner of an approximately 28.4 acre parcel, hereinafter referred to as "the subject property" with the P.I.N. #: 22-
31- 200 -004 in Lemont, Illinois.
WHEREAS, the Petitioner made application under the provisions ofthe Lemont Zoning Ordinance for the
rezoning ofthe parcel in question to R -4 Zoning (Single Family Detached Residence District) from Cook County R -4
Zoning (Single Family Residence District), pursuant under Section XVIII J.
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Lemont, Illinois, in accordance with said Zoning
Ordinance, conducted a Public Hearing on the petition on March 05, 2002;
WHEREAS, a notice of the aforesaid Public Hearing was made in the manner provided by law and was
published in the Lemont Reporter Met, a newspaper of general circulation within the Village; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended approval ofthe rezoning to the Village Board; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont,
that the Petitioner, Dr. Thomas Evans, be granted the requested rezoning to R -4 Zoning (Single Family Detached
Residence District) from Cook County R -4 Zoning (Single Family Residence District).
Section 1. A zoning map amendment is granted to allow the change in the zoning classification ofthe parcel with
the P.I.N. # 22 -31- 200 -004 to R -4 Zoning (Single Family Detached Residence District) from Cook County R -4 Zoning
(Single Family Residence District), as illustrated in the Plat of Survey attached as Exhibit "A ".
