AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A ZONING MAP AMENDMENT FROM R -1 SINGLE - FAMILY
DETACHED RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO R -4 SINGLE - FAMILY DETACHED RESIDENCE
DISTRICT AT 12806 ARCHER AVENUE IN LEMONT, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, Joseph Basiorka and Stanislaw Zalinski, hereinafter referred to as "the Petitioners ", are the
owners of a approximately three acres located at 12806 Archer Avenue, in Lemont, Illinois, hereinafter referred
to as "the subject property" and legally described in Exhibit "A" attached to this Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Petitioners made application under the provisions of Section XVIII of the Lemont
Zoning Ordinance for the rezoning of the parcel in question from R -1 Single - Family Residence District to R -4
Single - Family Residence District; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the Village of Lemont, Illinois, in accordance
with said Zoning Ordinance, conducted a Public Hearing on the petition on November 20, 2007; and
WHEREAS the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 4 -0 to recommend approval of the Petitioners'
rezoning request; and
WHEREAS, a notice of the aforesaid Public Hearing was made in the manner provided by law and was
published in the Lemont Reporter Met, a newspaper of general circulation within the Village; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont find that the said rezoning is
consistent with the Lemont Comprehensive Plan and standards of the Lemont Zoning Ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Lemont, that the Petitioners be granted the requested rezoning from R -1 Single - Family Residence District from
R -4 Single - Family Residence District, as illustrated in the Plat of Survey attached as Exhibit `B ".
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL, AND DU PAGE, ILLINOIS, on this 10th day
of December, 2007.
