AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A ZONING MAP AMENDMENT FROM LEMONT R -6
(MULTI- FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT) TO LEMONT R -4 (SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENCE DISTRICT) AT 16136 NEW AVENUE IN LEMONT, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, Joe Maka, hereinafter referred to as "the Petitioner ", is the owner of a 7,290
square foot parcel, hereinafter referred to as "the subject property ", PIN # 22 -29- 401 -010 and
located at 16136 New Avenue, in Lemont, Illinois; said parcel is legally described in "Exhibit A"
attached to this Ordinance;
WHEREAS, the Petitioners made application under the provisions of the Lemont Zoning
Ordinance for a zoning map amendment of "the subject property" to R -4 Zoning (Single Family
Residence District) from Lemont R -6 Zoning (Multi Family Residence District) pursuant under
Section XVIII of the Lemont Zoning Ordinance.
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Committee of the Village of Lemont, Illinois, in
accordance with said Zoning Ordinance, conducted a Public Hearing on the petition on August 1,
2006 and has approved said Zoning Map Amendment by a unanimous vote of 7 -0, and
recommends approval to the Village Board;
WHEREAS, a notice of the aforesaid Public Hearing was made in the manner provided
by law and was published in the Daily Southtown, a newspaper of general circulation within the
Village; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Lemont, that;
Section 1: The Petitioner, Joe Maka, be granted the requested rezoning to R -4 Single
Family Residence District from Lemont R -6 Multi- Family Residence District, as illustrated in
the Plat of Survey attached as "Exhibit A ";
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL, AND DU PAGE,
ILLINOIS, on this 14th day of August, 2006.
