O-82-06 11/27/20064 ORDINANCE NO. 0- I.2-04) AN ORDINANCE GRANTING THE REQUEST FOR A SPECIAL USE FOR A CHURCH ON THE PREMISES AT 102 STEPHEN STREET, LEMONT, ILLINOIS (Shale Harbor Church) ADOPTED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT THIS 27TH DAY OF NOVEMBER 2006 Published in pamphlet form by authority of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont, Cook, DuPage, and Will Counties, Illinois this 27th day of November, 2006 ORDINANCE NO. b- 54-o to AN ORDINANCE GRANTING THE REQUEST FOR A SPECIAL USE FOR A CHURCH ON THE PREMISES AT 102 STEPHEN STREET, LEMONT, ILLINOIS (Shale Harbor Church) WHEREAS, Patrick Stanton, Jr. of 106 Steven Street, LLC, owner of the building located at 102 Stephen Street in Lemont, Illinois, hereinafter referred to as the subject property and described in the attached legal description as "Exhibit A," granted Shale Harbor Church the approval to apply for a special use as a tenant of the subject property; and WHEREAS, Scott Studebaker of Shale Harbor Church, made application under the provisions of §VIII.C.2.b in the Lemont Zoning Ordinance for a special use to allow Shale Harbor Church to use the premises at 102 Stephen Street in Lemont, Illinois, as a church; and WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the Village of Lemont, Illinois, in accordance with said Zoning Ordinance, conducted a Public Hearing on the petition on November 7, 2006; and WHEREAS, a notice of the aforesaid Public Hearing was made in the manner provided by law and was published on October 23, 2006 in the Lemont Reporter Met, a newspaper of general circulation within the Village; and WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval of the request for a special use of the subject property as a church to the Village Board; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village have determined that the best interests of the Village will be served by approving the Special Use Permit by the standards of the Special Use Procedures, §XVIII.J.3 of the Lemont Zoning Ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, DuPAGE, AND WILL, ILLINOIS: Section 1. Special Use: A special use is granted to Shale Harbor Church to use the subject property as a church, pursuant to §VIII /DDI.E.1, §VIII.D.2.e and §XVIII.J.3 of the Lemont Zoning Ordinance. Section 2. Conditions: That this ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
