AN ORDINANCE CONVEYING REAL ESTATE FROM THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT
TO THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR
RECONSTRUCTION OF IL 171 AT 131 ST STREET
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont, a Municipal Corporation, is the fee owner of the
real estate legally described in Exhibits "A" and "B" attached hereto, and by this reference
incorporated herein and made a part hereof ; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois, Department of Transportation desires to acquire from
Village of Lemont, a fee simple acquisition in and to the real estate described in Exhibit "A" and
a temporary construction easement described in Exhibit "B", attached hereto for use by the State
of Illinois, Department of Transportation for intersection channelization with traffic signal
installation and has made an offer to the Village of Lemont in the amount of $4,000.00 as
compensation for the fee simple acquisition and $4,000.00 for the temporary construction
easement therefore and it is the desire of the Village of Lemont to grant said fee simple and
temporary construction easement interests.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT THAT THE PROPERTY AS
DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A" AND "B" BE CONVEYED TO THE STATE OF
ILLINOIS, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
Except that:
The Village of Lemont hereby reserves an easement over, under and across the said
property for purposes of maintaining, repairing and operating the adjacent storm water
retention facility.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication in the manner provided by law.
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith shall be and the same are
hereby repealed.

OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL AND DuPAGE,
