A RESOLUTION AMENDING PROVISIONS OF
EMPLOYEE PERSONNEL POLICY MANUAL
WHEREAS, the Personnel Policy Manual was adopted by the Village of Lemont through the passage of
Resolution #210; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined to be in the Village's best interest to revise the Manual
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COOK , WILL & DU PAGE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS that the
following revisions shall be made to the Personnel Policy Manual:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby expressly incorporated into and made a part
of this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Article 4.1A shall be revised to read as follows:
Administration Office — Personnel
Office hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Full -time administrative and clerical employees shall
normally be assigned a minimum forty (40) hour work week. Building Inspectors shall normally
be assigned a minimum forty(40) hour work week.
Section 3: Article 4.7, paragraph 2 shall be revised to read as follows:
Compensatory tiem shall be accrued at one and one -half the hours worked over 40 hours and time
off shall be subject to approval of the Department Head or their designee. Accrued compensatory
time shall, if practical, be used within the calendar year in which it was accrued. An employee
shall not be permitted to accrue more than one hundred sixty-eight (168) hours of compensatory
time.
Section 4: Article 5.4 paragraph 2 shall be revised to read as follows:
Vacation days are earned on upon appointment and accrue according to the following schedule:
Length of Service
Vacation
Less than five (5) years
Ten (10) working days per annum
40 hour week: 6.66 hour
Upon reaching fifth (5th)
anniversary of employment
Fifteen (15) working days per annum
40 hour week: 9.37 hour
Upon reaching tenth (10th)
anniversary of employment
Twenty (20) working days per annum
40 hour work week: 13.33 hours
Upon reaching fifteenth (15th)
anniversary of employment
Twenty-five (25) working days per annum
Upon reaching (20th)
anniversary of employment
Thirty (30) working days per annum
40 hour work week: 20.00 hour
Section 5: Repealer: All other Resolutions or parts of resolutions of the Village of Lemont that are inconsistent with
this resolution are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 6: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this
Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same
shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences,
paragraphs, provisions, or sections thereof.
Section 7: Effective Date: This Resolution shall become effective upon passage, approval and publication, in Book
and Pamphlet form as provided by law.
