Supp VILLAGE OF LEMONT ORDINANCED— 0'08 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING 127TH STREET & HIGH ROAD TO THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT ADOPTED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT This 10th day of March , 2008 Published in pamphlet form by authority of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont, Counties of Cook, Will, and DuPage, Illinois this 10th day of March , 2008 ORDINANCE NO.Q— 9 - ®& ORDINANCE ANNEXING 127th STREET AND HIGH ROAD WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont and the DuPage Township Highway Commissioner, entered into an Intergovernmental Transfer Agreement dated February 11, 2008 which was adopted by the Village of Lemont as Ordinance No. 0 -5 -08; and WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont has agreed to acquire title, ownership, and maintenance of sections of 127th Street and High Road as described on the attached Plat of Annexation; and WHEREAS, 65 ILCS 5/7 -1 -9, allows municipalities to annex property owned by the municipality by the passage of an Ordinance; and WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont is desirous of annexing portions of said roadways that have been transferred pursuant to a Jurisdictional Transfer Agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL AND DUPAGE as follows: Section 1: That the Village of Lemont hereby annexes the property described as follows: That part of the 66 foot wide Township Road, known as 127th Street, of which its centerline is the section line between Section 25 and Section 36, all in Township 37 North, Range 10 East of the Third Principal Meridian, bounded on the West by the East right of way line of the State Aid Route 72 and bounded on the East by the West right of way line of the Township Road known as Smith Road, all in Will County, Illinois, and that part of the 66 foot wide Township Road, known as High Road, lying in that pat of the Southeast Quarter of Section 35 and that part of the West half of Section 36, Township 37 North, Range 10 East of the Third Principal Meridian, bounded on the South by the Middle Line of Section 36 and bounded on the North by the South right of way line of 127th Street, all in Will County, Illinois. being indicated on an accurate map of the Annexed Territory (which is appended to and made a part of this Ordinance), is hereby annexed to the Village of Lemont, Counties of Cook, Will and DuPage, Illinois. Section 2: The Village Clerk is hereby directed to record with the Recorder of Deeds of Will County, and to file with the County Clerk, a certified copy of this Ordinance together with an accurate map of the territory annexed appended to this Ordinance. Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
