VILLAGE BOARD MEETING
November 9, 2009
The regular meeting of the Lemont Village Board was held on Monday, November 9, 2009 at 8:00
p.m., President Brian Reaves presiding. Roll call: Blatzer Chialdikas, Miklos, Sniegowski, Stapleton,
Virgilio; present.
III. CONSENT AGENDA
Motion by Miklos, seconded by Stapleton, to approve the following items on the consent agenda by
omnibus vote:
A. Approval of Minutes
B. Approval of Disbursements
C. 0-67-09 -Ordinance Amending Chapter 5.04 of the Lemont Municipal Code:
Alcoholic Beverages.
D. R-64-09 -Resolution Authorizing Execution of Intergovernmental Agreement with
Cook County Department of Public Health for Food Service Inspections..
Roll call: Stapleton, Virgilio, Blatzer, Chialdikas, Miklos, Sniegowski; ayes. Motion passed.
IV. MAYOR'S REPORT
Motion by Blatzer, seconded by Sniegowski, to open a Public Hearing on the Annexation Agreement
for Illinois Central Right of Way properly. Voice vote: 6 ayes. Motion passed. There being no public
comment, a motion was made by Blatzer, seconded by Miklos to close the public hearing. Voice vote: 6
ayes. Motion passed.
Motion by Miklos, seconded by Blatzer, to approve the Veterans Day Proclamation. Voice vote:
6 ayes. Motion passed.
Mayor Reaves extended congratulation to the Lemont High School Football team on their victory
on Saturday, November 7.

VI. CLERK'S REPORT
Clerk Smollen attended the South & West Municipal Clerks Association meeting on November 5
in Hodgkins.
ORDINANCES
Ordinance 0-68-09 -Ordinance Authorizing Execution of Annexation Agreement for Illinois
Central Right of Way Property. Motion by Stapleton, seconded by Blatzer, to adopt said
ordinance. Roll call: Stapleton Virgilio, Blatzer, Chialdikas, Miklos, Sniegowski; ayes. Motion
passed.
Ordinance 0-69-09 -Ordinance Annexing Illinois Central Right of Way Property. Motion by
Miklos, seconded by Stapleton, to adopt said ordinance. Roll call: Stapleton, Virgilio, Blatzer,
Chialdikas, Miklos, Sniegowski; ayes. Motion passed.

There will be a Tax Levy presentation by Lemont taxing districts on November 30 at 7:00 p.m. at
the Village Hall.

Motion by Blatzer, seconded by Miklos to authorize the Village Administrator to hire Raysa &
Zimmerman as the Village's corporate attorney and Cary Cosentino as the prosecuting attorney. Voice vote:
6 ayes. Motion passed.

There being no further business, a motion was made by Blatzer, seconded by Stapleton, to adjourn
