SUMMARY/BACKGROUND
The proposed Plat of Easement amends the existing Public Utility and Drainage Easement
(PUDE) for Lot 14 and Lot 15 of Rolling Meadows Phase 4, commonly known as 16540,
16550, 16560, and 16570 Kayla Drive. Public utilities were installed outside of the originally
platted easement prior to the sale of the lots for residential development. The revised Plat of
Easement expands the easement to encompass the existing location of the utilities.
ANALYSIS
The Village Engineer has reviewed the proposed Plat of Easement and recommends
approval.

A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PLAT OF EASEMENT
(Lot 14 and 15 of Rolling Meadows Phase 4)
WHEREAS, DesignTek Engineering Inc. has prepared a revised Plat of Easement for
Lot 14 and Lot 15 of Rolling Meadows 4, addressed 16540 Kayla Drive, 16550 Kayla Drive,
16560 Kayla Drive and 16570 Kayla Drive, attached hereto and legally described in Exhibit
A; and
WHEREAS, the existing public utilities were installed outside of the recorded Public
Utility and Drainage Easement by the original developer, necessitating the preparation of a
revised Plat of Easement to accurately reflect the location of the utilities; and
WHEREAS, the updated easement locations will incorporate the existing utilities in
the easement allowing for more orderly development of the property; and
WHEREAS, the plat of easement as reviewed in accordance with Title 17 of Lemont,
Illinois Municipal Code, Lemont Unified Development Ordinance and approved by the
Planning and Economic Development Director and the Village Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have determined that the proposed
plat of easement is in the best interest of the Village of Lemont.
BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont,
Counties of Cook, DuPage, and Will, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION ONE: Incorporation of Recitals. The foregoing findings and recitals are
hereby adopted as Section 1 of this Resolution and are incorporated by reference as if set forth
verbatim herein.
SECTION TWO: Plat Approval. The Plat of Easement for Lot 14 and Lot 15 of
Rolling Meadows 4, which is attached hereto and made part hereof as Exhibit A, is hereby
approved.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL, AND DUPAGE, ILLINOIS,
