SUMMARY/BACKGROUND
Six (6) bids were received on April 3, 2026, for the 2026 MFT Resurfacing project, which
includes resurfacing the following streets:
• Logan Street - East Street to Czacki Street
• Forest Lane - Keepataw Drive to Cul de Sac
• Keepataw Lane - Keepataw Drive to Cul de Sac
• Briarcliffe Drive - 127th Street to Province Drive
• Thornberry Drive - 127th Street to Province Drive
• Province Drive - Briarcliffe Drive to Thornberry Drive
• Stratton Drive - Province Drive to Thornberry Drive
• Wilshire Court - Briarcliffe Drive to Cul de Sac
• Windsor Court - Briarcliffe Drive to Cul de Sac
• Sterling Drive - Briarcliffe Drive to Dead End
• Crossing Creek Drive - Archer Avenue to Cul de Sac
Work consists of Hot -mix asphalt surface removal and resurfacing; leveling binder (machine
method); hot -mix asphalt surface course; class D patches; spot combination curb and gutter
removal and replacement; spot sidewalk removal and replacement; thermoplastic pavement
markings; and all appurtenant construction.
P.T. Ferro Construction submitted their low bid in the amount of $972,998.77, which is below
the Engineer's estimated cost of $1,467,025.00.
ANALYSIS
Funds for this project are included in the FY27 Budget in the amount of $1,400,000.00

A RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT 2026 MFT RESURFACING
PROJECT
WHEREAS the Village of Lemont requires that the 2026 MFT resurfacing project be
completed; and
WHEREAS, the Village seeks to utilize the services P.T. Ferro Construction Co., for such
work; and
WHEREAS, P.T. Ferro Construction Co., 700 S Rowell Ave, Joliet IL 60434, submitted
a low bid for such work in the amount of $972,998.77.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Lemont, Counties of Cook, Will and DuPage, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1:
The agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A is hereby approved.
SECTION 2:
The Village Administrator is hereby authorized to execute the agreement and to make
minor changes to the document prior to execution that do not materially alter the Village's
obligations, to execute any other agreements and documentation as well as to take any other steps
necessary to carry out this resolution.
SECTION 3:
This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as
provided by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAG OF LEMONT, OUNTIES OF COOK, WILL, AND DUPAGE, ILLINOIS,
ON THIS DAY OF 2026.

Illinois to be the lowest qualified bidder. HR Green, Inc. recommends awarding the contract to P.T Ferro
Construction using the prices as shown in the bid tabulation. As with all unit price contracts, the final project
amount will be determined after completion of the work.
