O-53-25 Approving a Plat of Dedication (Gordon Lane/132nd Street)VILLAGE OF �VEMONT 0 418 Main Street ( Lemont, IL 60439 TO: Village Board Meeting FROM: Jason Berry, Community Development THROUGH: SUBJECT: An Ordinance Approving a Plat of Dedication (Gordon Lane/132nd Street) DATE: November 10, 2025 SUMMARY/BACKGROUND The owners of 1341 Gordon Lane, Cynthia and Lawrence Rizzo, have agreed to dedicate 825 square feet of 132nd Street right of way to the Village. This dedication is required by Cook County to record Rizzo's First Subdivision, approved by the Village Board on April 28, 2025. ANALYSIS Consistency with Village Policy STAFF RECOMMENDATION Approve the Ordinance. BOARD ACTION REQUESTED Motion to Approve the Ordinance. O- 532 -23 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A PLAT OF DEDICATION WHEREAS, Cynthia and Lawrence Rizzo ("Owner") are the owners of the property located at 1341 Gordon Lane and which is legally described on Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference ("Subject Property"); and WHEREAS, the Owner has offered to dedicate the Subject Property to the Village; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have determined that the acceptance of the plat of dedication will serve a corporate purpose and promote the continued economic vitality of the Village. NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont, Cook, DuPage and Will County, Illinois as follows: SECTION 1: The above recitals and legislative findings are found to be true and correct and are hereby incorporated herein and made a part hereof as if fully set forth in their entirety. SECTION 2: The plat of dedication attached hereto as Exhibit B is hereby approved by the Village. SECTION 3: The Village attorney is authorized to record the said plat of dedication with the Cook County Recorder of Deeds. 2 SECTION 4: If any section, paragraph, clause or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid, the invalidity thereof shall not affect any of the other provisions of this ordinance. SECTION 5: All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 6: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
