SUMMARY/BACKGROUND
Three (3) bids were received on October 17, 2025, for the Old Lemont Road Bridge
Improvements project, which work consists of repair and remediation of the Old Lemont Road
Bridge.
The work items for the project include removal, cleaning, and replacement of the neoprene
expansion joints, sealing the bridge deck surface, reattaching an existing traffic barrier,
cleaning the approach drains, and removal of debris form the water way openings.
The low bid amount was submitted by Austin Tyler Construction, Inc. in the amount of
$102,842.00.
ANALYSIS
The Old Lemont Road Bridge Improvements project is consistent with the Village's 5-year
Capital Plan, and $300,000 has been included in the FY26 Budget for the project.

A RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT OLD LEMONT ROAD
BRIDGE IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS the Village of Lemont requires that the Old Lemont Road Bridge
Improvements Project be completed; and
WHEREAS, the Village seeks to utilize the services Austin Tyler Construction, Inc. for
such work; and
WHEREAS, Austin Tyler Construction, Inc., 23343 S. Ridge Road, Elwood, IL 60421
submitted the lowest qualified bid for such work in the amount of $102,842.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Lemont, Counties of Cook, Will and DuPage, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1:
The agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A is hereby approved.
SECTION 2:
The Village Administrator is hereby authorized to execute the agreement and to make
minor changes to the document prior to execution that do not materially alter the Village's
obligations, to execute any other agreements and documentation as well as to take any other steps
necessary to carry out this resolution.
SECTION 3:
This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as
provided by law.

Contract for Old Lemont Road Bridge Improvements Project
1. THIS AGREEMENT, made and concluded the day of between the Village of
Lemont, acting by and through the Village Administrator as the party of the first part, and
Austin Tyler Construction, Inc., 23343 S. Ridge Road, Elwood, IL 60421, his/their executors,
administrators, successors or assigns, known as the party of the second part.
2. WITNESSETH: That for and in consideration of the payments and agreements
mentioned in the Proposal hereto attached, to be made and performed by the party of the first
part and according to the terms expressed in the Bond referring to these presents, the party of
the second part agrees with said party of the first part at his/their own proper cost and expense
to do all the work, furnish all the materials and all labor necessary to complete the work in
accordance with the Plans and Specifications hereinafter described, and in full compliance with
all of the terms of this agreement and the requirements of the Engineer under it.
3. AND, it is also understood and agreed that the Notice to Contractors, Special Provisions,
Proposal and Contract Bond hereto attached, and the Plans as prepared by HR Green, Inc. and
designated as Old Lemont Road Bridge Improvements all essential documents of this Contract,
and are a part hereto.
4. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said parties have executed these presents on the date
above mentioned.
