SUMMARY/BACKGROUND
The Village Board is requested to approve a Code Compliance Program Grant for the current
fiscal cycle. This grant is offered to support critical life safety and utility upgrades within the
Village's downtown TIF districts, aligning with the goals of the Lemont 2030 Comprehensive
Plan to enhance public safety and infrastructure.
• Wokd LLC (116 State Street): $21,966.91 for the installation of a fire alarm and
suppression system
The project meets the eligibility requirements of the Code Compliance Grant Program.

RESOLUTION NO. R--25
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CODE COMPLIANCE GRANT
FOR THE OCTOBER 2025 CYCLE IN LEMONT, IL
WHEREAS, the Lemont 2030 Comprehensive Plan recommends supporting economic
growth and public safety through infrastructure improvements; and
WHEREAS, the Village has established the Code Compliance Grant Program ("CCGP")
to support necessary life safety and utility upgrades, including fire suppression systems,
accessibility improvements, and water/sewer infrastructure in the downtown TIF districts; and
WHEREAS, said program is administered by the Village and funded through the TIF
District Revenues to promote public safety, accessibility, and economic revitalization within
designated areas; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said program, the Village has agreed to participate, subject to
its sole discretion, in sharing the costs of eligible improvements under the criteria of the CCGP;
and
WHEREAS, applications were reviewed at the October 20, 2025, Committee of the
Whole and the proposed work was found to meet the requirements for eligibility under the
CCGP; and
WHEREAS, the Owner/Lessee desires to participate in the Program pursuant to the
teens and provisions of the Village; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees find that it is in the best interests of the
Village to authorize Code Compliance Grants.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Lemont, Counties of Cook, Will, and DuPage, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1: RECITALS.
That the above recitals and legislative findings are found to be true and correct and are
hereby incorporated herein and made a part hereof as if fully set forth in their entirety.
SECTION 2:
The Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont hereby approves the following
CCGP Agreement in substantially the same form as attached hereto as Exhibit A, subject to
attorney review:
a) Wokd LLC for 116 Stephen Street (fire alarm and suppression system), in the amount
of $21,966.91.
SECTION 3: EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Resolution shall be in frill force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and
publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
ADOPTED this 27" day of October, 2025.

USE OF FUNDS
VERIFICATION OF EXPENSES
FAILURE TO COMPLETE WORK
INDEMNIFICATION
ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT
1. Use of Funds
The Village of Lemont ("the Village") shall reimburse the Owner/Lessee for the shared
cost of property improvements, as described in the Business District Improvement
Grant application ("Grant").
The maximum amount of reimbursement shall not exceed $
2. Verification of Expenses
Within 90 days of the below acceptance date, applicants must submit verification in the form
of receipts or other records of payments made for the approved eligible expenses.
3. Failure to Complete Work
If the Owner/Lessee or their contractor fails to complete the building, sign, or site
improvements in conformity with the plans provided for in application, this Grant shall
terminate and the financial obligation on the part of the Village shall cease and become null
and void.
4. Village and General Indemnification
The Owner/Lessee agrees to defend and hold harmless the Village from all claims which may
arise out of said owners' construction activities under this Grant. In the event that, as a result
of this Grant, or actions taken as required hereunder, the Village is made a party defendant in
any litigation arising by reason of this Grant, and development activities contemplated
hereunder, the owners agree to defend and hold harmless the Village, the mayor, trustees,
officers and agents thereof, individually and collectively, from any suits and from any claims,
demands, setoff or other action including but not limited to judgments arising therefrom.
Certification: The undersigned certifies that to the best of my knowledge and belief, all
information contained in the grant application is true, complete and correct. The
undersigned agrees to provide the Village with verification of expenses and agrees to furnish
any additional information to the Village as needed. Failure to comply with these conditions
may require the return of funds.
