THROUGH:
SUBJECT: A Resolution Authorizing the Order and Purchase of Ford F600 Chassis
and Cab with Certain Specifications and Equipment
DATE: September 22, 2025
It has become necessary to purchase one Ford F600 chassis and cab with certain
specifications and equipment using the quote obtained by a local vendor with government
pricing comparable to NWMC Cooperative. The chassis and cab will be purchased through
Willowbrook Ford, Inc. for the price of $71,973.70. This vehicle is a replacement vehicle, not
an additional vehicle added to the fleet. The Monroe Truck Equipment body and equipment
will be purchased through a separate resolution in the amount of $67,480.00 for a total of
$139,453.70.
ANALYSIS
The purchase of the vehicle was included in the FY2026 budget in the amount of $125,000.00.

RESOLUTION NO. R- 08 -25
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ORDER AND PURCHASE OF FORD F600
CHASSIS AND CAB WITH CERTAIN SPECIFICATIONS AND EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS the Village of Lemont ("Village") is an Illinois Municipal Corporation
pursuant to the Illinois Constitution of 1970 and the Statutes of the State of Illinois; and
WHEREAS, Village staff obtained a quote for the necessary equipment from
Willowbrook Ford Inc., 7301 S Kingery Highway, Willowbrook IL 60521. The Village has
purchased vehicles from Willowbrook Ford, Inc., in the past, and as they have offered the same
governmental price as an otherwise municipal bid price to the Village; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary for the Village to replace and a certain vehicle for
the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, Section 5/8-9-1 of the Illinois Municipal Code (65ILCS 5/8-9-1) allows the
Board of Trustees of the Village ("Village Board"), upon a vote of two-thirds of the trustees then
holding office, to waive the requirement of competitive bidding; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of the price quotes submitted, the President and Village Board
have determined that it is advisable, necessary, and in the best interests of the Village to accept
the quote submitted by Willowbrook Ford, Inc. attached hereto as Exhibit A Ford F600 Chassis
and Cab with certain specifications and equipment at a price not to exceed $71,973.70; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Lemont, Counties of Cook, Will and DuPage, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1:
The Foregoing findings and recitals are hereby adopted as section One of this Resolution
and are incorporated by reference as if set forth verbatim herein.
SECTION 2:
The Village Board hereby accepts the quote to purchase a Ford F600 Chassis and Cab
with certain specifications and equipment and accepts the quote from Willowbrook Ford, Inc. for
the purchase of necessary equipment at a price not to exceed $71,973.70.
SECTION 3:
The Village President, Village Administrator, or his Designee is also hereby authorized to make
payment to Willowbrook Ford, Inc., upon delivery of the ordered vehicles, in an amount not to
exceed $77,973.70, and to take any other steps necessary to carry out this Resolution.
