O-11-25 approving the FY 2025-2026 Fee Ordinance418 Main Street ( Lemont, IL 60439 TO: Village Board Meeting FROM: Darshana Prakash, Finance THROUGH: George Schafer, Village Administrator SUBJECT: An Ordinance Approving the FY 2025-2026 Fee Ordinance DATE: March 24, 2025 SUMMARY/BACKGROUND As part of the FY 2025-2026 Budget process, staff reviewed all the charges for services and incorporated them in the Fee Ordinance for Board approval. The Fee Ordinance was presented to the Board on March 10, 2025 at the Committee of the Whole meeting. Based on Board's request to recoup actual costs, the following hourly rates for Village employees that work at Community events were revised for: 1. Patrol Officers hourly rate of reimbursement of $69.71 per hour to $75.52 per hour (for non school events). 2. CSO hourly rate of reimbursement of $41.33 per hour to $43.20 per hour includes overtime rate plus taxes and IMRF. 3. LEMA worker or Director hourly rate of reimbursement of $22.28 per hour to $24.42 per hour includes average hourly rate plus taxes. Other proposed revisions are: 1. Special Events Permit Fee from $25 to $50 2. Water/Sewer (base and usage) rates increase by 5% All the proposed changes are reflected in the attached Fee Ordinance. Annual Fee Ordinance NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont that: SECTION 1: Creates an Ordinance establishing fee, charges, rates and regulatory measures for FY 2025-2026. SECTION 2: It is intended that the fees, charge, rates and regulatory measures set forth herein will be reviewed periodically by the President and Board of Trustees. Accordingly, some or all of the provisions of this Ordinance may be amended from time to time. SECTION 3: The schedule of Fees, Charges and Rates are attached as Exhibit A SECTION 4: Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law. Each provision of this Ordinance shall remain in full force and effect unless otherwise expressly provided or expressly amended by subsequent ordinance, in which case the amended provision shall be immediately effective. SECTION 5: Repealer: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith shall be and the same are hereby repealed. The Village Clerk of the Village of Lemont shall certify the adoption of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published in pamphlet form.
