R-09-25 Approving Award of Contract 127th Street Crossing at Rolling Meadows Drive Pedestrian CrosswalkTO: FROM: THROUGH: SUBJECT: 418 Main Street I Lemont, IL 60439 Village Board Meeting Ted Friedley A Resolution Approving Award of Contract 127th Street Crossing at Rolling Meadows Drive Pedestrian Crosswalk DATE: February 10, 2025 SUMMARY/BACKGROUND Seven (7) bids were received on January 31, 2025 for the 127th Street Crossing at Rolling Meadows Drive Pedestrian Crosswalk project, which work includes earth excavation, combination curb & gutter removal and replacement, cement sidewalks 5 and 8 inch, detectable warnings, modified urethane pavement marking, sign panels, rectangular rapid flashing beacon systems, raised reflective pavement markers, and all appurtenant construction. The low bid was submitted by Gallagher Asphalt Corporation, 18100 South Indiana Avenue, Thornton, IL 60476 in the amount of $122,075.00, under the Engineer's estimate of $183,220.00. ANALYSIS The 127th Street Crossing at Rolling Meadows Drive Pedestrian Crosswalk is consistent with the Village's 5-year Capital Plan and $125,000.00 has been included in the FY25 Budget. The Village has received ARPA grant funds in the amount of $125,000.00 through invest in Cook for this project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont, Counties of Cook, Will and DuPage, Illinois, as follows: SECTION 1: The agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A is hereby approved. SECTION 2: The Village Administrator is hereby authorized to execute the agreement and to make minor changes to the document prior to execution that do not materially alter the Village's obligations, to execute any other agreements and documentation as well as to take any other steps necessary to carry out this resolution.
