O-25-24 Authorizing Sale and Disposal of Surplus Village Property418 Main Street I Lemont, IL 60439 TO: Village Board Meeting FROM: Judy Radomski, Police Department THROUGH: The trade-in of three (3) surplus vehicles is consistent with the Five -Year Capital Improvement Plan to replace the aging fleet. A fleet analysis was conducted in 2015. It was concluded that vehicles be rotated when they were no longer useful. SUBJECT: An Ordinance Authorizing Sale and Disposal of Surplus Village Property DATE: June 24, 2024 SUMMARY/BACKGROUND Consistent with the Fleet Management Plan Analysis, the Lemont Police Department is requesting to dispose of surplus property that has outlived its usefulness. The Lemont Police Department is requesting to dispose of the following vehicles via trade-in to Willowbrook Ford. Squad #20-1 2020 Ford Interceptor VIN #1 FM5K8AB9LGC13034 Squad #20-3 2020 Ford Interceptor VIN #1 FM5K8ABOLGC13935 Squad #21-4 2021 Ford Interceptor VIN #1FM5K8AB4MGB46747 ANALYSIS Staff has identified three (3) vehicles which need to be disposed of from the village fleet. A Fleet Management Analysis was completed and it has been determined the property's life has reached maximum usefulness. Consistency with Village Policy 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan (if applicable) STAFF RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends authorization to surplus three (3) vehicles to the trade-in process.
