R-469-97 Authorizing letter of credit reduction for castlewood estates subdivisionRESOLUTION NO. L; RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING LETTER OF CREDIT REDUCTION FOR CASTLEWOOD ESTATES SUBDIVISION WHEREAS, pursuant to the Village of Lemont Subdivision Regulations, an owner or developer of a subdivision is required to deposit certain security or evidence thereof with the Village of Lemont to guarantee the installation of such improvements; and WHEREAS, in the matter of Castlewood Estates Subdivision, located northwest on Archer Avenue and north of Mirta Circle in Lemont, Illinois, an Irrevocable Letter of Credit #639, First National Bank of Joliet, in the amount of $859,062.50 was deposited October 26, 1992 to cover the installation of public improvements; and WHEREAS, Prime Land Development Corporation has made application for a reduction of the Irrevocable Letter of Credit #639 for public improvements completed to date; and WHEREAS, Banner Consultants, Inc., a duly authorized agent of the Village of Lemont has inspected certain portions of the improvement and has found these portions to have been satisfactorily installed; and WHEREAS, said agent of the Village has recommended that the Letter of Credit may be reduced to $112,500.00 based on improvements completed to date. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont that: SECTION 1: Preliminary approval pursuant to the Lemont Subdivision Control Ordinance is hereby granted for the improvements identified in Attachment A and attached hereto. SECTION 2: The Irrevocable Letter of Credit #639 is hereby reduced to $112,500.00. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont that the Irrevocable Letter of Credit #639 for Castlewood Estates Subdivision is hereby reduced to $112,500.00.
