RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT
WITH ARGONNE NATIONAL LABORATORY
FOR SETTLEMENT OF REPAIR COST CLAIM
PERTAINING TO BLUFF ROAD
WHEREAS, a portion of Bluff Road adjacent to the Hindu Temple of Greater
Chicago is within the corporate limits of the Village of Lemont, and
WHEREAS, this portion of Bluff Road was utilized for an access point to Argonne
National Laboratory during the construction of the Advanced Photon Source, and
WHEREAS, the construction activity resulted in extraordinary usage of the roadway
far exceeding the residential design characteristics of the structure, and
WHEREAS, Argonne National Laboratory has agreed to fund the resurfacing of this
roadway in conjunction with a cost proposal which was provided by the Village of Lemont.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Village of Lemont hereby
approves the terms and conditions of the attached purchase order which has been provided
by Argonne National Laboratory.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL AND DU PAGE, ILLINOIS,
