RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT
LEDOCHOWSKI STREET WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT:
SCHULTZ STREET TO McCARTHY ROAD
WHEREAS,the Village of Lemont requires that the Ledochowski Street Water Main Replacement
project, be completed; and
WHEREAS,the Village seeks to utilize the construction firm of Suburban General Construction for
such work; and
WHEREAS, Suburban General Construction submitted a low bid for such work in the amount of
$529,718.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of Trustees that the Contract
with Suburban General Construction is hereby approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF
LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK,WILL AND DuPAGE, ILLINOIS, on this 8th day of June, 2015.

Listed below and on the attached 'Tabulation of Proposals" are the results of the Request for
Proposals, dated May 21, 2015, for the above-captioned project, with errors being found that did not
affect the bid order. A summary is as follows:
Suburban General Construction $529,718.00
Conley Excavating, Inc. 560,460.50
Len Cox& Sons Excavating 599,908.50
J. Congdon Sewer Service 604,757.77
Riccio Construction 618,842.00
Kee Construction LLC 1,238,310.44
Engineer's Estimate $530,874.00
The low proposal submitted by Suburban General Construction, in the amount of $529,718.00, is
$1,156.00 (0.22%) below the Engineer's Estimate of $530,874.00. Suburban General Construction
has satisfactorily performed work in the Village in the past,and is qualified to perform this type of work.
We, therefore, recommend that the Contract be awarded to Suburban General Construction, 1019
East 31st Street, LaGrange Park, IL 60526, in the amount of$529,718.00.
