RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT
Building Demolition (at IL Route 83& Main Street)

WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont requires that the Building Demolition (at Route 83 and Main
Street) project, be completed; and
WHEREAS, the Village seeks to utilize the construction firm of Green Demolition for such work;
and
WHEREAS, Green Demolition submitted a low bid for such work in the amount of$173,196.00.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of Trustees that the Contract
with Green Demolition is hereby approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF
LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL AND DuPAGE, ILLINOIS, on this 8th day of September,
2014.

opening for the above-captioned project. Nine(9)bids were received and tabulated,with no errors being
found. A summary is as follows:

Engineer's Estimate $ 192,000.00
The low bid submitted by Green Demolition, in the amount of$173,196.00,is$18,804.00(9.79%)below
the Engineer's Estimate of$192,000.00. Since Green Demolition is qualified to perform this type of
work,we therefore recommend that the Contract be awarded to Green Demolition,1427 West Dickens
Avenue, Chicago, IL 60614, in the amount of$173,196.00.
Please note that the capping of the wells on all four (4) of the properties is being performed under
separate contract, at an estimated total cost of$12,000.00.
