RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT
Smith Farms Detention Basin Repairs
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont requires that the Smith Farms Detention Basin Repairs, be
completed; and
WHEREAS, the Village seeks to utilize the construction firm of Country Landscape & Supply,
Inc.for such work; and
WHEREAS, Country Landscape & Supply, Inc. submitted a low bid for such work in the amount
of$15,947.26.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of Trustees that the Contract
with Country Landscape &Supply, Inc.is hereby approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF
LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL AND DuPAGE, ILLINOIS, on this 8th day of September,
2014.

Listed below and on the attached "Tabulation of Proposals" are the results of the Request
for Proposals, dated August 1, 2014, for the above-captioned project. A summary is as
follows:
Country Landscape & Supply $15,947.26
Hoppy's p in's Landscaping 9 1
$ 28 0.00
Copenhaver Construction $27,700.00
The low proposal submitted by Country Landscape & Supply, in the amount of
$15,947.26, is $3,602.74 (18.43%) below the Engineer's Estimate of $19,550.00.
Country Landscape & Supply, Inc. has satisfactorily performed work in the Village in the
past, and is qualified to perform this type of work. We, therefore, recommend that the
Contract be awarded to Country Landscape & Supply, Inc., 13305 W. 131St Street,
Lemont, IL 60439, in the amount of$15,947.26.
