AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.23 OF THE LEMONY
MUNICIPAL CODE ENTITLED:
ADMINISTRATIVE AND PROCESSING FEE FOR IMPOUNDING
OF VEHICLES
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont, Cook,
Will, and Du Page Counties, Illinois, that Chapter 10.23 of the Lemont Municipal Code be amended as
follows:
SECTION 1: Paragraph F of Section 10.23.010 of the Lemont Muncipal Code: Violations
Authorizing Impoundment, shall be amended to read as follows:
"Driving without a state issued driver's license, or driving while driver's license, permit or
priveleges to operate a Motor Vehicle are suspended or revoked shall subject the owner to an
administrative penalty of $250.00; except that vehicles shall not be subject to seizure impoundment
if suspension is for unpaid citation (moving or parking) or due to failure to comply with
emission testing."
SECTION 2: Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith shall be and the same are
hereby repealed.
The Village Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and cause the same to be
published in pamphlet form.
