RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT
FOR THE 2011 MFT RESURFACING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont requires that the 2011 MFT Resurfacing Program to be
completed; and
WHEREAS, the Village seeks to utilize the construction firm of K -Five Construction Corporation for
such work; and
WHEREAS, K -Five Construction Corporation submitted a low bid for such work in the amount of
$170,777.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of Trusteesthat the Contract with
K -Five Construction Corporation is hereby approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT,
COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL AND DuPAGE, ILLINOIS, on this 9th day of May, 2011.

Listed below and on the attached "Bid Tabulation ", please find the results of today's bid opening for the
above - captioned project. Two (2) bids were received and tabulated, with no errors being found. A
summary is as follows:
K Five Construction Corporation $ .170,777.00
Crowley - Sheppard Asphalt 174,741.30
Engineer's Estimate $ 201,152.00
The low bid submitted by K Five Construction Corporation, in the amount of $170,777.00, is
$30,375.00 (15.10 %). below the Engineer's Estimate of $201,152.00. K -Five Construction
Corporation has performed work in the Village in the past, and their work was found to be very
satisfactory. We, therefore, recommend that the Contract be awarded to K -Five Construction
Corporation, 13769 Main Street, Lemont, IL 60439, in the amount of $170,777.00.
