RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT
HOUSTON STREET WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT
SCHULTZ STREET TO McCARTHy ROAD
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont requires that the Houston Street Water Main Replacement
project be completed; and
WHEREAS, the Village seeks to utilize the construction firm of Swallow Construction Company for
such work; and
WHEREAS, Swallow Construction Company submitted a low bid for such work in the amount of
$366,451.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of Trustees that the Contract with
Swallow Construction Company is hereby approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF
LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL AND Du PAGE, ILLINOIS, on this 14th day of March , 2011.

$105,092.00 (22.29 %) below the Engineer's Estimate of $471,543.00. Swallow
Construction has performed work in the Village in the past, and their work was found to be
satisfactory. We, therefore, recommend that the Contract be awarded to Swallow
Construction Corp., 4250 Lacey Road, Downers Grove, IL. 60515, in the amount of
$366,451.00,
