A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE
ADMINISTRATOR TO ENTER INTO A PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR THE COMPLETION OF TASKS
RELATED TO THE MODEL COMMUNITIES GRANT AWARD
WHEREAS, the Cook County Department of Public Health awarded the Village of Lemont a
Model Communities grant in the amount of $48,040; and
WHEREAS, the grant award obligates the Village to complete an active transportation plan,
adopt a Complete Streets policy and establish Safe Park Zones; and
WHEREAS, certain portions of the grant award have been approved for professional services
to assist with research and work related . to the completion of these grant- funded initiatives;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Lemont that:
SECTION 1: The Village Administrator is authorized to enter into a professional
services agreement for the execution of tasks related to the Model Communities grant
award.
SECTION 2: The total amount of the professional services contract shall not
exceed $24,000.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
The Village Clerk of the Village of Lemont shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution and cause the same to be published in pamphlet form.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL, AND DU PAGE,
ILLINOIS, on this 14th day of March, 2011.
